Capitalism and recognition presents five essays collected together and translated into Italian for the first time dealing with a dense and meaningful analysis of some crucial socio-structural, moral and normative processes of contemporary capitalist societies, from the perspective of the dynamics of mutual recognition and disrespect related to the sphere of work. Particular attention is paid to the paradoxical reversals of the instances of self-realisation, autonomy and personal responsibility that have observed in recent decades, in the context of an increasingly deregulated labour market.
