Disegnare linee nel paesaggio

Metodologie di progettazione paesistica delle grandi infrastrutture viarie
  • Emanuela Morelli,

The present research has as its object the design of large road infrastructures, usually motorways or highways, as extreme cases of the controversial infrastructure/landscape relationship. In retracing about a century of achievements and theories from the point of view of landscape - understood in its broadest and systemic meaning and in all its cultural, ecological and perceptive aspects - the aim is to identify a methodology, or more precisely a basic design philosophy, useful for giving a direction to the induced transformations in qualitative terms. Therefore, the infrastructure is no longer an object in opposition to the landscape but an integral part of it.
