Exploited for defence, navigation, transport, irrigation and operation of factories, water has progressively lost importance, so much so that today the relationship between the city, the territory and the water system has deteriorated. The volume aims to: retrace the nature of the relationships between water and urban landscape; interpret the relationships changing through images; analyse the use of water in the contemporary landscape design; identify the conceptual and compositional tools of the landscape project capable of informing and orienting future projects.
