The relationship between architects and photography is an issue that has rarely been addressed. Furthermore, the volume offers an innovative perspective also for its wide range research: it does not simply analyse Le Corbusier's use of photographs, but it also focuses on the characteristics of the Swiss architect's point of view. Thus we’re able to understand the meaning of photographs of travels and of architectural buildings (also in comparison with the drawings); the relationships with professional photographers; the relations with contemporary photographic culture and with the cinematographic image; the ways of using photography as a tool for showing an artist's work or as an element of qualification of the architectural space.
