The STREAMING project (STRategiE di mitigazione e gestione dei rischi AMbientalI: casi di studio Nel territorio reGionale Toscano) was funded by POR FSE 2014-2020. The project supported five post-doc on five different case studies for the period 2018-2021 at DAGRI, DICEA e DIEF of the University of Florence. This volume represents a handbook on the best practices for sustainable development in Tuscany summarizing the main results from the STREAMING project. Synergies between project results and Sustainable Development Goals for the Tuscany region are included in the volume.

Chiara Bartalucci is a post-doc researcher at the University of Florence and a technical expert in acoustics and project management. In 2018 she received the Young Researcher Award from EAA and in 2020 an Award for the best PhD Thesis in Acoustics from AIA. She is author of more than 40 articles.

Federico Fagioli, mechanic-energetic engineer, is a post-doc at the University of Florence and a technical expert in thermodynamics and energy conversion cycles. He collaborates with various industries in strategic research and development projects. He is author of several scientific articles.

Andrea Giachetti, structural engineer, received his international doctoral degree in 2017. In the same year he won an international award by the CTBUH. In 2020, he received a special mention from ANIV, for wind engineering. Currently, he is working with the Università degli Studi di Firenze.

Alberto Niccolai obtained a European PhD in 2017 in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. He is a post-doc eesearcher at DAGRI at the University of Florence. He is working on microalgae for the production of new foods and bioactives for agro-industry. He is co-author of more than 20 papers.

Leonardo Verdi is Research fellow at DAGRI (University of Florence). He gained his PhD in 2018 in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. His research activities are focused on assessment of GHG emissions from soil-plant-atmosphere system; nutritional dynamics and environmental sustainability of agriculture.
