Scelte procreative e responsabilità

Genetica, giustizia, obblighi verso le generazioni future
  • Giovanni Costa,

Developments in human genetics and applications in reproductive medicine have contributed to undermining birth as a natural and arbitrary event. For some years now we have not only been able to decide if and when to reproduce, but also with what method, and potentially defining the qualitative features that those who will begin to exist following our choice will have. The volume identifies and addresses the ethical dilemmas and legal issues that the acquired ability to intervene on the fortuity of our origin will pose in the coming years.
