  • Sonia Sbolzani

The essay by Sonia Sbolzani on the current role of craftsmanship aims to outline the idea of work underlying this historic human activity, highlighting how it is based on creative power, personal self-realization, sense of autonomy, knowledge, aesthetic values, osmosis of manual skills and new technologies. Examining its evolution from ancient times to today, the author demonstrates how craftsmanship has become and can increasingly become a critical success factor of excellent Made in Italy, to which it contributes substantially from the economic point of view and in terms of soft power, combining tradition and innovation, manufacturing talent and new technologies, in the name of Beauty.
