The article wonders if and how Italian labour law has reacted to the post-fordist transformations. The original identification between labour law and fordism will be firstly addressed. The main changes brought by post-fordism will be then examined. This will lead the author to ask himself on the difficult reception of post-fordism in Italian labour law discourse. The provocative analysis of the crisis of fordism, as developed by Bruno Trentin, will be then taken into consideration. The article will be closed by some conclusive remarks.
