The Leopardi Computerised Bibliography (BIL) is the result of a research project that took shape on the occasion of the second centenary of the poet's birth and developed over the two-year period 2000-2002. The project consisted in the ordering and publication in a digital corpus the immense bibliography of Leopardi, till then disseminated in the volumes of Leopardi's Bibliography, in other partial bibliographies, in repertories, catalogues, etc. The creation of the digital corpus involved four Research Units of the Universities of Florence, Macerata, Cagliari, «La Sapienza» of Rome. The book contains the BIL User Manual (version 1.0) and the description of the project.
