The identification of the historic garden as a monument is a recent achievement and, consequently, the art of restoration is also a young discipline. The carried out research aims to illustrate the key points of a conservative restoration intervention through the restoration project of the Garden of Villa Corsini in Mezzomonte, quite unknown to the public, but rich in history and peculiar architectural and vegetable elements. The work begins with an introductory part that places the villa in a historical-landscape context and then continues with the description of the state of the garden and with the reconstruction of its evolution through an accurate historical analysis. On the basis of the data obtained from the previous phases, a conservative restoration intervention was hypothesised for every single green space of the villa.
