Le guide touristique: lieu de rencontre entre lexique et images du patrimoine culturel. Vol. I

This book is the first volume of a collection of articles devoted to the tourist guide as a meeting place between lexicon and images of cultural heritage, a work resulting from the conference which took place on June 11 and 12, 2015 in Pisa and Florence, organized by the Research Unit Lessico dei Beni Culturali. The texts presented are the result of a joint reflection by specialists from different fields: linguistics, art history, architecture, photography, literature and geography to name a few. The two volumes analyze the tourist guide and the other works that accompany the trip as places of creation and transformation of the experience of real or virtual travel, participating as such in the creation of the tourist imaginary of places and cultural objects they describe.

Carolina Flinz teaches German language at the University of Pisa. In 2017, she obtained a research grant (Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers: 12 months) at the University of Manheim. She has been part of the LBC research group since its creation. She is interested in lexicography, specialty languages and textual genres. Normierungen und Kanonisierungen des Reisens (Königshausen and Neumann, 2018, S. 51-67). Elena Carpi is professor of Spanish language and translation at the University of Pisa. She has been part of the LBC research group since its creation. She specialized in specialty languages, and in lexicology. Among her publications: Las denominaciones de los establecimientos de alojamiento turístico en la normativa Española in Lengua y derecho: líneas de investigación interdisciplinarias (Peter Lang, 2011), Lengua e ideología: huellas polifónicas en los preámbulos de la legislación turística Españolain M.V. Annick Farina is professor of French language and translation at the University of Florence and president of the University's Language Center. Specialist in lexicography, she heads the Lessico dei Beni Culturali (LBC) research unit born in 2013. She is currently working on various projects related to the transmission of cultural heritage in foreign languages.
