Clinical Cases in Urology

Prostatitis and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy are two increasingly frequent pathologies. The “Clic-Uro” Project was born on these premises and involves a representation of Urology in Italy. Using online questionnaires, a detailed survey on the real world of the patients suffering from Prostatitis and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy was carried out, and direct experiences of clinical practice on the diagnostic and therapeutic process were collected. Data from 67 urologists who sent in their clinical cases of Prostatitis and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy were analysed, thus obtaining a real picture of the clinical characteristics, risk factors, diagnostic investigations and therapeutic settings of the patients who refer to an Italian urologist for the problems of Prostatitis or of Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy. These data will be very useful to every doctor for the management of patients.
