Fausto Barbagli is curator of the ornithological collection at the Museum of Natural History of the University of Florence, where he is also in charge of the historical research group. He has over 130 publications to his credit. He is Vice Chairman of the Italian Natural Sciences Society, Secretary of the National Scientific Museums Association, editor of the Rivista Italiana di Ornitologia and associate editor of Museologia Scientifica.
Marina Clauser is curator of the collection of citrus plants, food plants, succulent plants, aquatic plants, trees and shrubs in the botanical garden of the Museum of Natural History at the University of Florence. She has taken part in the projects RETE NATURA 2000, BIOITALY and 5-BIOS and ReNaTo (Repertorio Naturalistico Toscano) and deals with ex-situ conservation in the botanical garden; she co-ordinates the sustainability project at the Museum of Natural History, and has over 50 publications to her name.
Paolo Luzzi is curator of the poisonous, medicinal and allergenic plants in the botanical garden of the Museum of Natural History at the University of Florence. He took part in the scientific expedition to Nepal. He has been appointed representative of the Department of Vegetable Biology in the botanical garden of Abetone. From 2004 to 2007 he was the Director of the botanical garden. He is the author of numerous scientific publications.
