In Diventare grandi con il «Pioniere», the theme of communication with very young readers is studied, which has developed through a series of innovative interventions, but particularly enhanced thanks to the postal column held by the director Dina Rinaldi, central to the "education of feelings" aiming - in the optics of the "Pioniere" - at training the new generations. The conception and realisation of the children's magazine “Pioniere” was an integral part of the great pedagogical effort made by the PCI (Communist Italian Party) in the 1950s to build a new society.
