Autobiographical narration has recently become a peculiar object of study. This volume uses the autobiographical device in its formative value in the process of building the self through the narration of childhood, in the formation of identity in disabled people and as a tool in the analysis of the relationship between parents and children with disabilities. Through the autobiographical paths outlined in the text by way of example, the narration qualifies as an educational tool both for the narrator and for the reader. In fact, while for the narrator writing assumes an important cathartic role, for the reader it becomes a means of consolidating the professional skills aimed at accompanying those in training, disabled or not, in the construction of a life project.
