The Series is aimed at a non-academic audience and aims to share and enhance the knowledge and results of interdisciplinary studies conducted by researchers from the University of Siena, other Italian and foreign Universities, and Research Institutions.
It opens spaces for dialogue with students, stakeholders, and intellectuals from non-academic backgrounds.
Publishes content derived from experiments and processes of participatory democracy and explores innovative forms of publication, such as “open books,” which are enriched over time by the contributions of the scholars and the public, highlighting changing views, opinions, and historical facts about issues relevant to society and people.

Authors are cordially invited to submit proposals and/or full manuscripts to the series editors by writing to intrecci@unisi.it.

All books published in the series undergo peer review.

The series fully supports Open Access publishing as an ideal tool for sharing ideas and knowledge in every research field with an open, collaborative and non-profit approach. Open Access books allow the research community to achieve a high research impact as well as rapid dissemination in any editorial form.

“Intrecci” is published by Firenze University Press and USiena PRESS, an innovative publishing project of the University of Florence and the University of Siena designed for the community of scholars and their research.
