The fifteenth volume of the Comunicazioni dell’Istituto Papirologico «G. Vitelli», entirely dedicated to research on the Arsinoite, is divided into two sections: Editions and Re-editions of Texts, and Critical Notes. The first section includes the edition of nine documentary papiri from various collections. The second section contains ten essays focusing on the paleography of the papyri, the history of excavations and papyrological finds in Egypt, the interaction between archaeological objects and papyrus texts, and aspects of lexicography.

Francesca Maltomini is an Associate Professor of Papyrology at the University of Florence and the Director of the «G. Vitelli» Papyrological Institute. Her research has primarily focused on the ancient and medieval transmission of epigrammatic literature and gnomic texts, magical papyri, and the material aspects of written documents from Greco-Roman Egypt. She has published first editions and re-editions of literary, paraliterary, and documentary papyri and ostraca preserved in various collections around the world.

Simona Russo has been researcher at the «G. Vitelli» Papyrological Institute in Florence. She has been in charge for the lexicographical section of the International Project Contextes et mobiliers, de l’époque hellénistique à l’époque mamelouke. Approches archéologiques, historiques et anthropologiques (coordinated by the IFAO). She has published two monographs, one on jewelry and one on footwear in the papyri, as well as numerous editions of documentary papyri.
