Studi di letterature moderne e comparate

  • Open Access Series

In the global dimension in which humanities move today, the notion of national literature needs to be integrated with comparative and cross-sector approaches, able of enhancing individual disciplinary fields, updating their epistemological status and traditional analysis tools. “Studi di letterature moderne e comparate” hosts essays on Italian and foreign authors and texts of a historical literary, critical, philological and theoretical nature that explore the global vocation of literature also through grafts with cultural anthropology, postcolonial studies, translation studies and ecocriticism. The series also promotes the publications of the brightest young scholars of the Department of Filologia e critica delle letterature antiche e moderne of the University of Siena, a department of excellence and a national and international landmark for the study of modern and comparative literature.

Authors are cordially invited to submit proposals and/or full manuscripts to the series editors,
