The UNIverSI. Ricerca e Didattica all’Università di Siena series (collana.universi@unisi.it) stands alongside the University's other series. Characterised by an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach, it aims to collect contributions relating to the results of specialist research and teaching activities carried out in the various academic fields represented within the University (economics, law and political science; literature, history, philosophy and the arts; biomedical and medical sciences; experimental sciences).

The series is divided into two subseries: Research and Education.

UNIverSI will mainly publish monographs, conference proceedings and manuals that also support teaching and can become accessible to all students, in accordance with the European Union's European Accessibility Act directive.

The series Intrecci is dedicated to the Third Mission. The Series is aimed at a non-academic audience and aims to share and enhance the knowledge and results of interdisciplinary studies conducted by researchers from the University of Siena, other Italian and foreign Universities, and Research Institutions.

It opens spaces for dialogue with students, stakeholders, and intellectuals from non-academic backgrounds.

Publishes content derived from experiments and processes of participatory democracy and explores innovative forms of publication, such as “open books,” which are enriched over time by the contributions of the scholars and the public, highlighting changing views, opinions, and historical facts about issues relevant to society and people.

Furthermore, an inter-university series, Politiche e strategie per l’uguaglianza di genere e l’inclusione. Temi, ricerche e prospettive dei CUG delle Università di Siena e Firenze, was launched. A collaboration between Siena and Florence universities, it will collect contributions deriving from the activities of the Comitati Unici di Garanzia per le pari opportunità, la valorizzazione del benessere di chi lavora e contro le discriminazioni (Committees of Equal Opportunities) of the two institutions.
