The volume collects thirty-eight essays by scholars from diverse disciplines and generations, dedicated to Luigi Meneghello (1922-2007). The essays celebrate one of the most original writers of Italian and European literature of the late 20th century, and their publication is made to coincide with the hundredth anniversary of Meneghello’s birth. Through exploring unpublished archival materials and employing several theoretical approaches – including Stylistics to Sound Studies, Ecocriticism and Translation Studies – the volume looks at Meneghello’s work and cultural legacies, while also discussing the important teachings he has handed down to us.
